My Go-To Photoshoot Locations in & Around Edmonton
April 16, 2025
Let’s be honest — the right location makes the session. Whether we’re doing something soft and romantic or bold and empowered, the vibe of the shoot starts with where we shoot.
So if you’ve been wondering where the magic happens, here are my favourite shoot locations around Edmonton (and trust me, they never disappoint).
1. Mill Creek Ravine
Tucked right into the city, this gem gives woodsy fairytale vibes with bridges, trails, and glowing greenery. Perfect for couples, family sessions, or cozy solo portraits. The light here? Gorgeous.
2. Louise McKinney Riverfront Park
This place has it all — river views, wildflowers, modern bridges, and a mix of nature + city. I love it for branding, maternity, and couples shoots that want a little of everything.
3. Downtown Edmonton / Back Alleys & Jasper Ave
If you're looking for something bold or editorial, downtown is a goldmine. Brick walls, parking garages, alley murals, metal staircases, vintage vibes — perfect for branding sessions, grads, or edgy portrait vibes.
4. Elk Island National Park
Okay, it’s about 35 mins out — but it’s SO worth it. Wide open fields, long roads, and sunsets that look like movie scenes. This one’s ideal for dreamy golden hour shots and full-on styled sessions.
5. U of A Botanic Garden (Devon)
Want soft romance and flowers everywhere? This one’s a fave for maternity, branding, or whimsical vibes. There's an entrance fee, but it’s so beautiful you’ll want to stay all day.
6. Terwillegar Park
Massive open fields, river access, and even a pedestrian bridge with killer symmetry — perfect for families, engagements, or casual portrait sessions with natural light.
BONUS: Custom Locations
Want to shoot in your home? A cute Airbnb? Or somewhere totally random like a laundromat or an old barn? I’m always down to get creative — if it reflects you, I’m in. Let’s make it personal.
The bottom line?
You don’t have to know where to go — I’ve got you. I’ll help pick a spot based on your vibe, your comfort level, and your goals for the shoot. All you have to do is show up (and maybe bring snacks).
